SleepTest.com partners with Seattle dentist and former NFL players to “Tackle Sleep Apnea.”

Free in-home sleep tests will be offered to Seattle residents at no cost, as part of the national sleep apnea awareness campaign, “Tackling Sleep Apnea.” In conjunction, a local awareness discussion will take place with former Seattle Seahawks players Jacob Green and Nesby Glasgow. In addition, former Dallas Cowboy Derek Kennard, will be sharing his personal experience with fatality and sleep apnea. Dr. Steve Carstensen, DDS, President Elect of The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine will be providing residents with vital information on sleep apnea and treatment options.
In total 25 free in-home sleep tests will be donated to Seattle residents. Assisting Dr. Carstensen, DDS with reading and diagnosing of the sleep tests will be Board Certified Sleep Physician Dr. Teresa Jacobs. The event will be held on July 14 at 2:00pm at the Century Link Field located at 800 Occidental Ave. S. in Seattle, WA. The event is free to the public with pre-registration. As part of the event, there will be the opportunity for those in attendance to win several different prizes. A question and answer session for the press will be available prior to the event, beginning at 1 p.m.
All former NFL players involved with the event and Dr. Carstensen will be available for pre-scheduled appearances and interviews a week prior to the event. In addition, Seattle media and production staff members have an opportunity to receive free in-home sleep tests. This event is hosted by the Pro Player Health Alliance.
“I have made it my mission to spread awareness on sleep apnea, the dangers of untreated sleep apnea and effective treatments,” Kennard said. “Sleep apnea does more than lead to several health problems, it can take your life.”
The NFL players involved with the event will be signing autographs after the discussion. To qualify for an in-home sleep test or to attend the event, participants must pre-register online at SleepTest.com prior to the event.
